Tongan Language Week in Room 8
Fitness was done with our normal flare & creativity as well as counting down in Tongan.
Taha, ua, tolu, fa, nima, ono, fitu, valu, hiva, hongofulu...
After fitness we'd start our day singing the Tongan National anthem and a lotu (prayer).
Samisoni led us in a fun game of Tongan Language pictionary.
What fun activities did you get to do in your online classes during Tongan Language week?
It's Falaite and Lucy, Samisoni and I (Ms Siaoloa) are waiting for the rest of the class
to join us.
We're dressed up and ready for our School Assembly
celebrating Tongan language week (below).
Was great to see many students, families and staff at our school assembly.
Tino pai Ruma Waru. I love how you're making the most of this chance to try new things while learning at home. I'm wondering what drawings you did for Tongan Language Pictionary (love that game). It looks like you had a good turn out for your assembly, it's so good to stay connected. But my big question is, how are the tins of beans linked to fitness?
ReplyDeleteMalo e lelei Room 8,
ReplyDeleteIt's me Sina in Room 5 from Wesley Intermediate School. Happy Tongan language Week even though it's a bit late right now and also Happy Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori. It's great to see you guys learning a lot of Tongan Words and Phrases. Samisoni's game of Tongan Language Pictionary looked very fun and I've played something similar too. Do you guys (Room 8) do fitness every morning during Google Meets using a Can of Beans or Spaghetti? Bye!
- Sina, Blog you later :)
